The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a national, nonprofit public charity dedicated to finding forever families for the more than 140,000 children waiting to be adopted from foster care in the United States and Canada. Through its signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids®️, the Foundation supports the hiring of adoption professionals, known as recruiters, who serve children most at risk of aging out of foster care without a permanent home.
The Foundation works closely with child welfare advocates and policymakers, provides free resources about foster care adoption and raises awareness through social media campaigns, public service announcements and events.

More than 113,000 children in the United States are waiting to be adopted from foster care right now. They deserve a safe, loving and permanent family. In addition to considering becoming a foster or adoptive parent, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
WAYS TO GIVE
Donors like you empower the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s work to raise awareness about the urgent need for foster care adoption, advocate for adoption benefits in the workplace and support the expansion of our Wendy’s Wonderful Kids® program. Through this program, the Foundation has found permanent homes for more than 13,000 children. There are thousands of reasons to support the Foundation, with names like LaShauna, Floyd, Lilliana, Ellie and Dalton.
